Contempt case: DB issues show cause notice to DG Sports 3/17/2015 10:58:48 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 17: A Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasantha Kumar and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat directed Director General (DG) Youth Services and Sports Department, Jammu is to be present before this Court to show cause as to why he should not be punished for committing contempt of this Court and for the delay in issuing appointment orders inspite of pleasing of the appointment order in favour of the petitioners by the Government. The direction has been passed in a contempt petition filed by Sanjay Gupta & Ors and the Division Bench observed that it is seen from the records that order of this Court dated 23/04/2001 has not been complied with by the 4th respondent inspite of pleasing of appointment order in favour of petitioners by the 2nd respondent namely Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Technical Education/YSS Department. Division Bench further observed that when the matter was posted on 10/03/2015, counsel appearing on behalf of Director General Youth Services and Sports was directed to produce the appointment orders but the same has not been produced, hence the Director General Youth Services and Sports Department, Jammu is directed to be present before this Court to show cause as to why he should not be punished for committing contempt of this Court.
