JK govt says no to 'Dogra Certificate' | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 1: The state government on Wednesday categorically said that there is no need to issue 'Dogra Certificate' as the government of India already gives relaxation to people of such category in central jobs. In reply to a written question of MLA Kuldeep Raj in the Assembly wether the government proposes to issue 'Dogra Certificate' in favour of bonafide Dogra persons as was in vogue previously, the Minister for Revenue in his reply through Under Secretary to Government Revenue Department stated that government has no such proposal under consideration. The minister said the main purpose of issuing the "Dogra Certificate" is for seeking the relaxation in physical measurement (height and chest) in employment in Central Paramilitary Forces. The reply added that for the said purpose, the Ministry of Home Affairs vide their U.O No. 1-45023/6/2008-Pers-II dated 27-04-2011 in the scheme of recruitment of constables has already given relaxation in physical standard of height and chest for the candidates belonging to the J&K State. The government reply stated that keeping in view of above mentioned orders, there is no requirement to issue any specific guidelines by the state government for purpose of issuance of "Dogra Certificate". |
