Early Times Report srinagar, Apr 1: A policeman guarding Srinagar residence of minister for Public Works Department Syed Altaf Bukhari has allegedly joined militants. The cop, who decamped with two rifles from Bukhari's residence at Sheikh Bagh, Lal Chowk last week, joined the Hizbul Mujahedeen, an outfit spokesman was quoted as saying by a local news agency on Wednesday. The spokesman said Hizb chief Syed Salahuddin has decided to reward the cop Naseer Ahmed Pandit. Pandit, a resident of Karimabad in Pulwama district had fled from the house of Bukhari on March 27. Pandit "is the inspiration for those working for Jammu and Kashmir Police. We hope that in coming time, more and more cops in a bid to shatter the haughtiness of pro-Indian actors will join militant ranks," the spokesman said. |
