Govt's new recruitment policy draws a flake | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 20: The new recruitment policy of the State Government has drawn a flake with almost all parties opposing it. The recruitment policy will surely hit the reserved categories as there is no such provision for the people belonging to these categories feels a common man. This policy is totally anti working class and violation of equal pay for equal work feel the trade unionists of the State. Challenging the basic principles of the policy Mir Ghulam Rasool a trade Unionist and spokesperson Peoples Republican party (PRP) said that the policy is slated to boomerang as trade unionists will definitely challenge it in the court of law. He said what is the logic of appointing a person on contractual basis for seven years when the upper age limit of joining the government service has been kept 40 years. This way the person in seven years will turn 47 and till his regularization he will even cross the middle age and grow old. So this policy is totally illogical and violates the basic norms of recruitment policy and justice, Mir added. Mir said that the trade unionists should approach the Court and fight against this anti employee decision of the new government. The policy has also killed the basic concept of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policy Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas as the policy framed by State Government is going to ruin the future of the newly recruited employees. All India Backward Classes Union Social has also criticized the Government decision saying much more was expected from BJP-PDP good governance but the new recruitment policy of coalition exposed the claims of the coalition and has put the career of lakhs of qualified youth at stake. The Union which held a meeting here today under the chairmanship of Abdul Majid Malik termed the policy as a ``Youth Slaughtering Policy''. The meeting wanted to know when the recruitment posts are available then why not to launch a direct recruitment drive. This way the deserving youth are being ignored. The Union asked the Government to rethink over its new recruitment policy before sending it to Governor for approval. ``The good governance should not be a mockery to snatch the bread and butter of the people'', the Union added. |
