Katra, Apr 20 : Minister of State for Public Works (R&B) and Revenue Sunil Kumar Sharma on Monday said the government has taken up a project to issue Permanent Resident Certificate and caste certificates at the school level. The project is expected to check the menace of false certificates and ensure that students are not put to hardship in obtaining the vital records. On a day long visit to an orphan home in Katra, base camp of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine run by a NGO. Sunil said we have started the project in Kishtwar district as a trial in 17 Schools and have issued over 500 certificates so far, adding that soon all the Government and private educational intuitions of the state will be covered under this project. The online distribution of these certificates to students would eliminate the hardship the beneficiaries face at the government offices, while this would make the offices paperless, it would also reduce the time taken for the delivery of these services and cut down the workload of officials further added Minister. Earlier, Minister accompanied by MLA Reasi-Ajay Nanda, Deputy Commissioner Reasi-Sushma Chauhan and President Seva Bharti interacted with the students at orphan house, where the authorities of orphan house put forth demands including repair of link road, improvement of power and water supply etc which were patiently listened by the minister. He assured early redressal of all the issues. On this occasion sweets and fruits were also distributed among children. |
