GLTF condemns suspension of Master-in-charge Langer | Atleast 165 Masters are still attached with CEOs Jammu for no work' | | Early Times Report
Jammu Apr 20: General Line Teachers Forum (GLTF) held its meeting under the Presidentship of Neeraj Sharma at Jammu to take stock of various issues pertaining to the teaching community and Education Department and also expressed the displeasure over the steps taken by Education Minister for State and Director in haste without considering the ground facts and putting a master in-charge of Middle School Langer under suspension. He also said due to lackadaisical approach about 165 Masters are still attached with CEO Jammu for no work and are drawing hefty salaries. The president also raised the issue of transfers in Deptt and said that the transfer orders of various cadres should be implemented strictly especially on promotion without consideration of the class, region, religion and gender . He said that those who decline to adhere such transfer orders their promotion should be withdrawn and be given to those who are willing to serve anywhere in the state. He further demanded that the attachment/deployment culture in the Deptt should be done away with once for all. "This practice is still going on in the Deptt as many Masters/Lecturers including RETs are still working at various levels in ZEOs, CEOs, and Directorate, he said and alleged that the orders of their detachments always remain on paper only and It is glaring fact that about 165 Masters are still attached with CEO Jammu and are drawing hefty salaries for no work. The forum President and all its members vehemently demanded from the Education Minister to intervene personally and order transfers to their respective schools immediately. Among others who spoke in this meeting include Dalip k Digra (Gen Secy ), Kiran Pandita (Convener ), Sukhdev Singh, Digvijay, Amit Dabgotra and Tajinder Singh etc. |
