Benia of JKP lifts Roun-Domail dangal title

JAMMU, May 19: Benia Min of J&K Police lifted the 44th Roun-Domail Kesari dangal title beating Sanjay of Guru Hanuman Akhara Delhi in the main bout that took place at Roun Domail in district Udhampur.
Benia was presented with a cash prize of Rs 25,000 by Minister for State for Finance, Pawan Kumar Gupta, who was chief guest. Runners-up, Sanjay was given away Rs 20,000 cash prize by MLA Ramnagar, RS Pathania.
In all, 13 bouts were decided in this dangal. He second main bout won by Mohanu of Haryana who defeated Sukha of Rajasthan winner to receive cash prize of Rs 9000 while Sukha got Rs 6000.
In third bout, Gurpreet of Chandigarh emerged winner after he defeated Farooq of Sarore while Ajay of Delhi clinched the fourth main bout outplaying Roshan Lal of Muthi. The fifth bout won by Jakker of Sarore beating Amit of Guru Hanuman Akhara Delhi.
Dangal was organised by Thill Roun-Domail Dangal Committee is collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. The event held under the supervision of president of the Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma and supported by Numberdar, Dharam Singh Ranyal (president of the dangal committee) and Om Parkash Verma (general secretary of district association).
Members and technical officials who helped in successful conduct of this dangal included Om Parkash Verma, Sham Lal Bargotra, Vijay Singh (Biju), Vijay Kumar (Panch), Dara Singh, Des Raj Mistery, Ramesh Chander Sharma, Krishan Chand Khajuria, Om Parkash Magotra, Yoov Raj Katoch, Ashok Padha, Varinder Kumar Sharma, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Deepak wazir, Murli Dhar (Munna), Jug Dutt (Padha), Mohd Fareed, Lochan Singh and Sansar Singh Jamwal.
Other Results: Liaqat Ali beat Jatinder, Salman Khan beat Gurpreet, Gopal Sharma beat Puran, Devinder beat Muneer Khan, Vikas beat Naisar, Johnny beat Kalu, Sukha beat Dinu, Babba beat Surinder, Ajay Sharma beat Sabba, Bobari beat Akram and Vikas beat Amir Khan.
