Symposium on moral education, sports organized at GHSS Kishtwar

Kishtwar, May 24 : Chief Education Officer Kishtwar Vinod Saini today inaugurated the Symposium on the Topic "Moral Education & Sports" organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at multipurpose hall Government HSS (Boys) Kishtwar.
Students from various Educational Institutions participated in the Symposium and deliberated over the topic and stressed for inclusion of moral education in the curricular activities in the schools so that a sense of responsibility is inculcated among the student community in the region that will help in the development of depleting values in society.
While addressing the student and teaching community CEO Kishtwar laid stressed on the importance of moral education in schools and enjoined upon the teaching community to make personal and focused efforts to develop moral values among the students at large.
He said coordinated and collective efforts of the teaching fraternity, parents and society will help in development of moral sense among the future generation which will ultimately help in strengthening the peace and brotherhood among the different sections of the society.
Principal DIET Kishtwar, Principal GHSS Girls, Boys Kishtwar and other senior functionaries of Education Department, DYSS also spoke on the occasion.
While culminating the Seminar, DYSS Officer Kishtwar D.C Thakur thanked the dignitaries for sparing their precious time and said that the "Moral Education" is the slogan of DYSS Department Kishtwar for the year 2015-16 and the department is organizing various sporting events in the District to promote sportsmanship and moral values among the athletes and students in the District.
Arvind Kumar of Class 12th GHSS (Boys) Kishtwar bagged the 1st position in the Symposium while as Maydha Muqadas of Class 10th of Furqan Academy Kishtwar and Junaid Wani of Islamia Faridiya Higher Secondary School Kishtwar secured the 2nd & 3rd position respectively.
Later on prizes were distributed among the participants by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.
