AddC seeks CDPO's explanation | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, May 24: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Rajouri has directed Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) to send his explanation within in two days as to why his office was found closed by the collector during a surprise visit by him. On May 22 last, on the direction of District Development Commissioner (DDC), Rajouri, Deepti Uppal, collector (defence) had paid a surprise visit to the office of CDPO Mohammad Saleem Qureshi at about 12.35 pm and found it locked. Vide his office letter No Coll/Def/122 dated ACac22/5/15, he had intimated the DDC about the matter. Pertinently for the last many months people have been complaining about dereliction of duties by the senior/junior officers in the government offices. People had been approaching the DDC as they were finding many problems for their routine official works during an unauthorized absence of these officials. During last two months, DDC herself and on her directions senior district officers including additional DC, ADDC and ACR had paid surprise visits to many government offices in the district and found more than 60 employees absent during working hours. All these employees were placed under suspensions by the DDC and action was also recommended against them. ADC has asked the CDPO that DDC has taken the matter seriously and has desired to seek explanation from him before the matter is referred to higher authorities. |
