| Cong protests against shifting of AIIMS to Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 24: In protest against shifting of AIIMS from Jammu to Kashmir valley and CM's recent announcement of shelving artificial lake project on river Tawi, the Congress today staged a peaceful demonstration at Talab Tillo.
Led by member Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Sanjeev Sharma alias Pandey, a large number of workers shouting slogans against the PDP-BJP coalition government accused it of denying legitimate rights of Jammu people and meting out step motherly treatment to Jammuites.
Addressing the gathering, Sanjeev denounced the state as well as central government policies vis-à-vis Jammu region and claimed that with this decision the employment and business prospects will get major jolt in this region of the state.
He warned ever boasting and self declared Jammu champions to desist from anti-Jammu policies. Strongly flaying the highly unjust move of the coalition government to shift the AIIMS project to Kashmir in defiance of the initial announcement made by Union Government, Sanjeev threatened to intensify the protest in coming days and assured the gathered crowd to take this agitation to the logical conclusion. |
