TNWS demands immediate conversion of 'Lease Hold Rights' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 24: Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS), demanded immediate conversion of 'Lease Hold Rights' over plots allotted to residents of Trikuta Nagar to 'Free Hold Rights' by JDA. It was pointed out by members that all allottees of Trikuta Nagar residential colony have been allotted plots on 99-year lease basis. For any further transaction or obtaining Bank Loans etc or transfer of plot to legal heirs/family members, the lease holder is required to obtain a 'No Objection Certificate' from JDA which is a cumbersome process and the lease holders who are almost all senior citizens can ill afford this time consuming process. Since the original allotment of plot was made on the then prevailing market price of land, It will be in fitness of things if the 'Lease-hold' is converted into 'Free-Hold' ownership at a nominal cost as is being done in all other government residential colonies. The members unanimously decided to call on MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta, Speaker, LA in this regard and request him to impress upon Prof. Nirmal Singh, Dy CM to meet this genuine demand of residents of Trikuta Nagar. TNWS has already addressed a representation to both Kavinder Gupta as well s to Dr. Nirmal Singh, Dy CM in this regard. |
