| Erratic Idea network irks valley subscribers | | |

Srinagar, May 24 : The Idea cellular is taking subscribers for a ride in Kashmir valley with the people accusing it of outshining the erratic network of the BSNL.
Aghast over the dismal performance of the Idea Cellular in Kashmir, subscribers said the call drops, no internet connectivity and erratic services is taking toll with the regular functioning of business houses too getting affected. Locals in Srinagar said that for the past six days, there was no connectivity of network and internet was nowhere existent. "It was like hell when you find your phone is not working and the cellular company is irresponsive at all. There was no network, no internet and no signal. I really wonder how idea could do such a thing," Sofi Waheed, a Srinagar resident told KNS. Others also echoed the same views, saying the network remained erratic since past week with the Idea helmsmen taking subscribers for a ride. People said without any intimation, the network was snapped down to both pre- paid as well as the post paid subscribers.
The internet users too met the same fate. Some of them said their entire work depended upon the internet and the disabled network only added woes for them.
Subscribers maintained that when they tried to contact the customer care services, they didn't get through and at various times, there were cross connections which dominated the scenes. |
