PDP-BJP coalition to script new chapter of peace, progress in J&K history: Bhasin | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 29: Reiterating commitment of his party to address grievances of every sections of the society, General Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Daman Bhasin today called upon party workers to reach out to the masses to solve their day today problems. Addressing one day convention of party workers of Jammu West Assembly segment, he observed that after formation of PDP-BJP coalition government in the State responsibility on party workers has enhanced manifolds and workers have to shoulder this responsibility with dedication. He maintained that formation of PDP-BJP government was historic event in the political history Jammu and Kashmir because both the parties have over-whelming mandate of the people of the entire State. "As visionary leadership of both the parties is aware of all issues pertaining to the State, this historic opportunity would be proved as turning point in the history of J&K to change destiny of the residents of this State", he hoped and mentioned that PDP would play the role of big brother in Kashmir Valley and BJP would play the same role in Jammu region. He hoped that PDP-BJP coalition would script a new chapter of peace, progress, prosperity and development in the history of Jammu and Kashmir. He made it clear that attaining power was not aim of forming PDP-BJP coalition but main objective of this government was to set up new system of governance with transparency and accountability. He said that during the tenure of nearly three months this regime has earned credibility and trust of the common masses through its actions and acts. "Effective steps are already being initiated by the present regime to provide much-needed relief to the common people from the miseries of the mis-governance and corruption promoted by the NC-Congress coalition regime during the past six years", he said. |
