Influential corrupt officers hire Jamaat to mount pressure on Govt to again get desirable money-making positions
5/29/2015 11:39:19 PM
ET Report
jammu, May 29: Some controversial inefficient corrupt officers, who were shielded by the previous National Conference-Congress government during the last six years, have started taking services of radical fundamentalist groups like Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) to again get plum and money minting postings.
These officers, who were transferred as routine administrative exercise, have reportedly hired JeI to attach religion with their transfers to mount pressure on the government.
Recently state government had transferred some officers from crucial departments because credibility of these officers was doubtful for their misdeeds. Interestingly the state government had transferred a number of officers to execute administrative reshuffle but only a handful of officers are not happy with their transfers and organisation like JeI has come to protect interests of such officers. Most significantly these officers were transferred only after they have completed their tenure and were not demoted or adjusted outside the State.
The way JeI has come out in support of these controversial officers is a clear indication that this organisations used to earlier black-mail previous governments to adjust its blue-eyed on important positions for some benefits.
"It seems that the Jammu province has been given absolutely in the control of the BJP, a coalition partner in the present state regime so as to give it a chance to implement its long-pending agenda of doing away with the Muslim-majority status of the state," JeI stated in a statement issued by its secretary.
The statement mentioned transfer two Chief Engineers from a plum positions who were transferred after they completed their tenure. "Such types of transfers are taking place from the Secretariat to the district and even tehsil levels," JeI alleged.
Credible sources in the corridors of powers revealed that influential officers, who were transferred after completion of their tenure, have hired JeI to mount pressure on the state government to get desirable postings.
