Police hold PCPG meet at Reasi

Reasi, May 29: In order to better understand the concerns of residents of policing issues and to strengthen the bond with public, District Police Reasi under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police-Sujit Kumar is organising a series of public meetings across the district.
Under this series a Police Community Partnership Group Meeting (PCPG) at Jerri, Reasi was held today which was chaired by DySP(Hqr) Reasi-Mohan Sharma.
The meeting was attended by sarpanch, panches , prominent citizens, a large number of local youth and women of the area.
The participants raised various issues pertaining to their area like ban on liquor, check on bovine smuggling, overloading by matadors and buses, bad condition of roads and special matador service for students.
While speaking on the occasion Sharma explained the objective of the meeting and also appreciated the people for sparing their valuable time to attend the meeting. He emphasized upon the participants to extend their cooperation to police in maintaining law and order, peace and communal harmony in the area. He also asked the residents to complain about any suspicious persons loitering around their area.
Sharma assured the participants that their grievances pertaining to police will be duly addressed and other issues will be conveyed officially to the concerned departments.
The participants also lauded the role of police in organizing PCPG meetings and also asked to conduct various activities/events under Civic Action Programme in the area.
