Failure of BJP leaders irks Rajnath | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 29: Fate of the BJP leaders in Jammu region is hanging in balance as the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh during his recent visit to Jammu took a strong note about BJP leaders having failed to strike a chord with people of Jammu who had voted for them in large numbers. Sources told Early Times when media persons repeatedly raised the issue of poor grip of BJP ministers over the affairs of the state government and playing second fiddle to the PDP leaders, the union Home Minister Rajnath Singh took a strong exception to it. Senior party leaders failed to present their view point and convince the him (Singh) why such perception is gaining ground when both the alliance partners are running the government and have stakes. Leaders of the state BJP are in deep trouble as they are struggling to find a way out to come out of the mess they find themselves in over the issue of setting up of AIIMS and completion of Artificial Lake project. Sources said, senior party leaders have gone in to huddle to introspect to find the possible solution but so far they have failed to evolve a consensus formula. According to inside reports the state party leaders are waiting on to the forthcoming meeting between the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and state BJP leaders. It is during the same meeting the fate of the state unit of the BJP would be sealed as the party cannot afford to wait anymore in wake of forthcoming Amarnath yatra starting from July 2. If the BJP fails to take a final decision on the issue of AIIMS soon the state unit of the BJP would face difficult times ahead especially during the local bodies polls due after September this year |
