Jammu, June 8: Keeping in view fast depletion of green gold and create awareness among the masses in this regard, "Gou Gopal Paryavaran Sammelan" (Environment Conference) is being solemnized at Seri Panditan (Chhanni) near Amb Garhota in Bhalwal, Jammu from June10-14. The venue, where the programme is going to be organized, happens to be the place of worship of His Holiness, Shri Dewarika Nath Shastri Ji Maharaj, a spiritual personality of Jammu and Kashmir, whose religious discourses and sermons continues to enlighten the masses for more than a decade. Giving details of the programme at a media conference here at Jammu on Monday, Swami Gangadhar Ji Maharaj, a young saint and direct disciple to his Holiness Shastri Ji Maharaj, informed that this "Paryavaran Sammelan" is based on the theme of one of Shree Maharaj Ji's last sermons: "As Shree Maharaj Ji himself was very fond of nature and used to explain its value in his religious discourses, Gou-Gopal Paryavaran Sammelan is being organized at Seri Panditan (Chhanni) near Amb Garhota in Bhalwal, Jammu from June 10 to 14, 2015 (According to Hindu Calendar: 8th of Krishna Paksh of Lunar Month - "Aashaad", Bikrami Samwat - 2072)," Swami Ji said. "Renowned Sanskrit Scholars and revered saints from within and outside the State are taking part in this five-day long religious congregation, who will enchant and enlighten the devotees," he explained. About the programme schedule, Swami Ji said, "Holy Kalash Yatra will be taken out on 10th June, 2015 (Wednesday) at 7.00 AM while Havan Yagya will be performed daily from 8.00 AM to 10.00 AM. Besides, there will a programme of religious discourses and Sankirtan by renowned scholars, which has been divided into two time slots i.e., from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM and 8.00 PM to 11.00 PM daily." |
