BBIA flays frequent powers shut down in Bari Brahmana 6/8/2015 11:51:26 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 8: A meeting of the members of the Bari Brahmana Industries Association was held under the Chairmanship of Lalit Mahajan President BBIA to discuss the deteriorating power supply in SIDCO Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana, Jammu for the last few months. According to press release, association members strongly flayed the working of Power Development Department (PDD) where nobody is accountable for repeated power failures in the Industrial Area for the power supply being fed through 50X2 MW Grid Station & BB-I Receiving Station. The member present in the meeting raise the serious concern about the working of PDD as the industrial feeders were termed as 'Fair Weather Feeders' and on the first instance of a drizzle the Electricity supply to Industries always cut & it will take long time to restore the same. The Department is not taking this issue seriously due to which the Industrialists are facing huge Financial Losses, Production Loss & Machinery Breakdown. Even in case of any Power Break Down in the Night Shift, no one is available to rectify the fault. Further, the Members raised the matter related to the pending cases of Power Sanction of Industrial Units lying with the Department due to overloading of 33 KVA line from Grid Station to BB-2 Receiving Station for which the department has shown their in availability to upgrade the line to accommodate the new connections resulting non release of Power Sanction to the Industrial Units who have invested Crores of Rupees & unable to start the production & suffering huge losses. Industries located in Bari Brahmana are contributing app. Rs. 140 Crores towards the Cost of Power supplied to Industrial Area but the Department is not serious about the Maintenance of the Grid stations of the Complex due to which the industrial units are suffering very badly. BBIA appeals to the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Kumar Singh, Dy. Chief Minister, Minister for PDD and. Chander Parkash, Industries and Commerce Minister with a humble request kindly to intervene into this matter and issue necessary orders for laying of "BUNCH CABLE" for 11 KV Supply inside the Industrial Complex, Upgradation of 33 KV line.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
