JAMMU, June 8: A cultural programme was organized in the premises of Central Jail Jammu at Kotbhalwal by Cultural Wing of Department of Information and Public Relations for the jail inmates to enhance their peace of mind and also provide them some moments of enjoyment in reducing their stress. Senior Superintendent Jail, Dinesh Sharma, Dr. Rajinder Kumar, Medical Officer Central Jail Jammu Kotbhalwal alongwith other subordinate staff as well as jail inmates in large numbers were present on the occasion. On this occasion, artists of Cultural Wing presented 2-hour long colorful cultural items for jail inmates under the supervision of Cultural Officer Jammu Raman Joshi. The artists enthralled the Central Jail inmates and staff members with their melodious voices are Jeevan Sharma, Vijay Anand, Zulekha Farid, Avtar Kour, Kuldeep Kumar, Surjit Singh Sumbaria, Ekta Kumari, Amit Anand, Kamal Kumar, Bodh Raj, Hukam Chand, Bunty Kumar and Rajesh Kumar. Speaking on the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Jail Dinesh Sharma thanked the Information Department for arranging such a wonderful programme and sparing their valuable time to associate with Prison Routine and requested to organize more such programmes in future. He said such programmes not only ease the stress of jail inmates but also provide platform to them in presenting their hidden talent through musical items.
