Unknown vehicle hits pedestrian to death, minor injured 6/8/2015 11:55:44 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, June 8: One pedestrian was knocked down to death by an unknown vehicle near Petrol Pump Tikri on Jammu Srinagar National Highway today morning in District Udhampur. Meanwhile a minor was injured when a load carrier hit him at Banara of Majalta. "The deceased was identified as Pramu (52) son of Shanker Dass of Lehnu in Udhampur," police sources said. According to the police sources, an unknown vehicle hit one pedestrian while he was walking on road side near Petrol Pump Tikri. Soon after hitting the pedestrian the driver of vehicle sped up the vehicle and fled from the spot while locals acting swiftly shifted the injured to Primary Health Center (PHC) Tikri where doctors declared him brought dead. Tikri police registered the case and started investigation. Meanwhile, a minor boy identified as Garoo Ram (12) son of Sham Lal of Banara in Majalta got injured when a Load carrier bearing regd no: JK14C-2784 hit him near Banara in Majalta. Locals shifted the injured to Primary Health Center (PHC) Majalta from where doctors referred to Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu.
