NKRSNS demands new rail link from Kathua to Billawar

Kathua, June 8: Nav Kathua Railway Station Nirmaan Samiti (NKRSNS) held a meeting under chairmanship of a renowned social worker Rajinder at Kathua and demanded a new rail link from Kathua to Billawar.
While chairing the meeting spokesperson NKRSNS, Rajinder urged the MOS in PMO Jatinder Singh Rana and Deputy Chief Minister of J&K State Nirmal Singh to take a justified role on the new project of railways prepared by Samiti according to which two new railway stations are proposed one in the heart of Kathua near boliyan behind the Ram Leela ground and second station is proposed in Phinter for Billawar Tehsil.
According to the project despite these two new railway stations in Kathua town and Billawar, in the way of railway link from Kathua to Billawar two more flag stations are also proposed first at Sherpur near Changran and other at Kumri. As per project report, the new rail link will start from Maddhopur to Kathua town further proceeded to Changran, Sherpur (Flag station) and diverted to Logate Kumri (Flag Station) and further Phinter in Billawar where a main railway station for Kathua's hilly area is proposed that will further moving towards Manwal railway station covering Gajroo Nagrota, Ramkote alongside the Dhar road. Speakers underlined the new rail link will produce plenty of opportunities of expiation of rail link across the entire district Kathua's hilly area in which Basohli and Bani will definitely will get a boost in communication and area could be developed as world level biggest tourist spot.
