AIBCU team tours Bathindi, Sunjwan Rekh, listens to locals grievances | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 8: A team of All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) today toured Bathindi, Sunjwan and Reka, listened the problems being faced by habitats. According to press release, the habitats expressed that the Government through Forest Department was creating panic that the land over which the people have been residing before 1947 is being termed as "MalakSarker" and a conspiracy is being hatched to vacate the land from the people of Bhatindi, Saunjwan & Rekh. Thereafter a meeting of the union held here at its head office FirdousabaadSunjwan Road in which speakers and participants cleared the situation on land panic that the land under discussion of the above cited villages is in possession since long before 1947 and is not a Makbuja land of forest. All the speakers and participants unanimously passed a resolution of appeal for the Govt. to regularise these colonies like the colonies of ChhanniHimmat, Trikuta Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Bakshi Nagar, Jawahar Nagar as the nature of the land of all such colonies is the same. He further said that the government cannot apply a rule with sectarian thought, a rule if there is, should be implemented throughout the state and not only on these particular villages where the population is mostly belonging to the other backward classes.
