Omar forgets about Haji Yusuf's death, had rejected CBI probe in mysterious death | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, June 8: National Conference Working President, Omar Abdullah's statement that his party would not hesitate in going to High Court or Supreme Court in order to register their protest over new recruitment policy in the state is contrary to the party's position on an important issue that hogged limelight some years back. In 2012 when NC leader Haji Mohammad Yusuf allegedly died at Omar's residence, Yusuf's son Talib Yusuf demanded for CBI in the death of his father. This demand was out-rightly rejected by NC and instead of they started blaming their own person for 'follies' carried out by him. The demand for CBI probe was also made by National Panthers Party Chairman, Professor Bhim Singh but his demand too was not accepted by the state government. As on date there are allegations that Yusuf was killed during custody at Omar's residence and the NC working president cannot wish away these allegations. |
