GMCH mulls re-exam of Dental Pharmacology | Students dismayed by move | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 18: Tough days are ahead for students of Dental Pharmacology as the administration of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) is likely to re-conduct the exams of Dental Pharmacology, due to reasons best known to the authorities concerned. The proposed re- examination will further jeopardize the future of Dental Pharmacology students, whose examination results have already been delayed by more than six months, from the scheduled time of declaration. Sources informed Early Times that as per schedule the results of Dental Pharmacology had to be declared in December 2014 but due to new procedure of the getting the answer scripts checked the time of declaring the result delayed. "In case of re examination of second years, it will be difficult for them to get through the exams as it has been more the six months the exams were held," they said. Sources further informed that the students have already proceeded in their syllabus and to prepare again for the exams which will throw the students in the state of confusion and helplessness. "It will be injustice with the students if exams are re-conducted as the exams were conducted fairly and there was no objection of any kind from the student or administration" they said. "If there was any issue, the GMCH administration should have resolved it amicably so that the students may not be at receiving end. Authority should rethink its move in the favor of students who are already over burdened with their vast syllabus," they added |
