Sanctioning of AIIMS: Bihar not Jammu is BJP's priority....? | Smart BJP has learnt how to hoodwink people | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 21: Recent announcement of second AIIMS for Bihar state has raised many eye-brows as shockingly an agitation for AIIMS is going on in entire Jammu Province but announcement has been made for Bihar only. On Thursday, AIIMS Coordination Committee, which has been spearheading agitation against shifting of premier medical institution to Kashmir Valley, had announced suspension of its agitation following written assurance by Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, who is also top BJP leader in the state. During the four hour long marathon meeting with agitating members of Coordination Committee for AIIMS, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh and Forest Minister Bali Bhagat sought time of at least two months to establish a liaison with BJP headed NDA government at Centre, which was finally reduced to one month. Ironically, on the same day, Union Health Minister, J P Nadda announced second AIIMS for Bihar. It is believed that BJP has announced second AIIMS for Bihar because Assembly elections are going to be held in that state in the month of October this year. BJP announced second AIIMS for Bihar keeping in view the forthcoming Assembly elections to lure people. This is public perception that after getting 25 assembly seats from Jammu region by exploiting sentiments of the people, BJP has abandon Jammu region because party has achieved its goal of first time becoming part of power in this State. The Centre on Thursday had promised one more AIIMS to Bihar to strengthen its health infrastructure and assured cooperation in initiatives to improve medicare facilities in the state. The announcement to open one more AIIMS in Bihar was made by Union Health Minister J P Nadda, during his visit in Bihar. He had stated after meeting with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar that he has urged the CM to make land available for another AIIMS, besides the one in Patna. Nadda who made a trip to AIIMS Patna, said his ministry was making all efforts to make the institution fully functional as soon as possible. The Union Health Minister said his ministry was sorting out bottlenecks like administrative, faculty and construction issues at AIIMS Patna. Like Bihar, Jammu region too deserve better health facilities because this region has been lagging behind Kashmir as far as health facilities are concerned. "As BJP mentors in New Delhi are of the view that there is least need to concentrate on J&K, where BJP is an equal share holder in PDP led coalition government, for another five years, so better to woo the people of those states where BJP is not in power," observed political observers further adding that "but it will be suicidal for BJP if it ignores or undermine the unrest and anger brewing among the people of Jammu region who reposed absolute faith in BJP with a confirm belief that BJP will redress all injustices met by Jammuites in past 67 years. When BJP came to power making a history in J&K, people were rest assured that now they will not have to come on roads to get their share in each and every sector. But shifting the proposed AIIMS from Jammu to Kashmir valley has virtually shattered the hopes of common man in Jammu region as they find theirselves on a cross road with a question mark that which party or leader they should believe in future? |
