Rajouri, July 10: Expressing its concerns over the Scholarship Scam at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), the Sangarsh -movement today launched a week long signature campaign in the border district Rajouri from today to seek public response over the issue. Interacting with the media persons the General Secretary of the Movement Dr Suresh Kumar said that it is the right time to expose real culprits of the BGSBU scams, that's why now we (Sangarsh) have decided to come among the masses to aware them with the misdoings and mismanagement of the university authorities. "This signature campaign our motive is just to awake the deep sleeping local administration and the state government and we shall not stop till the culprits are put behind bars," he added. He also said that on the first day of the campaign a total of 4,163 people showed their anguish towards the BGSBU administration and over the failure of the state government by putting their signatures. "We have fixed a target of reaching to atleast 25000 peoples of Peer Panjal region and then the same shall be submitted to the Governor of the state, the Chief Minister, the Chairman UGC and to HRD ministry also. He further apprised the media that this campaign shall be carried out under the supervision of Himanshu Bhargav (Secretary, Sangarsh, Dist. Rajouri unit). Others who motivated the public during the signature campaign were Adv Shokat Ali,Vice-President Sangarsh, Himanshu Bhargav, Vikarnt Sharma, Chairman Rashtriya Pahari Andolan and Shahbaz Khan, Chief Executive JKPPM. |
