Irked locals stage protest against depleted roads within city 7/10/2015 10:52:13 PM Udhampur Jul 10: irked over the depleted roads within the city limits, residents from Udhampur city staged protest against PWD authorities at Slathia Chowek Udhampur here today. The protestors alleged that the condition of road Slathia Chowk to Goal Market are very bad and are not in motarable condition most of city roads have developed pot holes and when it rains the waterlogged roads pose hazards to drivers and the pedestrians as well. They warned the concerned department and the district authorities if the city roads are not repaired at earliest they will continue with their protest especially against PWD Department. When contacted XEn PWD Rajesh Gupta briefly said that the process has been initiated and tenders have been called in this regard.
