RKJ, JKAACL organizes Dogri Kahani Goshthi | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 10: J&K Academy of Art,Culture and Languages and Radio Kashmir, Jammu organized a Dogri Kahani Goshthi in the auditorium of Women College, Parade Jammu. On the occasion, Prof Shashi Pathania, former HOD, PGD of Dogri, renowned Dogri writer, scholar and critic presided while Mohan Singh, eminent Dogri Playwright, artist, poet and critic was the chief guest. Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and V K Sambyal, Station Director, Radio Kashmir, Jammu were also present in the presidium. Delivering her presidential addressed, Dr. Shashi Pathania thanked JKAACL and RKJ for organizing this Kahani Goshthi in Dogri and said that short-stories presented were at par with the modern short stories being written in the other Indian languages. She said that the stories very successfully portrayed the various social issues of their respective regions representing various cultures and sections of the society. She also complimented and congratulated all the short story writers who presented their short stories in this ghoshthi. While speaking on the occasion, Mohan Singh applauded the role of Radio Kashmir, Jammu and J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages for organizing such a successful short story session in Dogri language. Specially mentioning the contribution of Dr Om Goswami, Desh Bandhu Dogra Nutan and ChhatterPal he said that these short story writers represented Dogri Kahani at National scene and enriched Dogri Kahani in technique, style and presentation. He also appreciated the short stories of Raj Rahi and Shiv Dev Singh Susheel and said that these young short story writers in Dogri introduced new trends and techniques in the field of Dogri short story. Those who read out their short stories were Om Goswami (Cancer), Desh Bandhu Dogra Nutan (Sukhi Maanu), Shiv Dev Singh Susheel (Rishtey) , Chhatter Pal(Kaash Mein Kutta Honda) and Raj Rahi (Namey Tunnel) . Among others were presented include: Shiv Dutt, Dr Baljit Raina, Santosh Sangra, Gianeshwar, Hardeep Singh Gill, Krishna Prem, Chaman Panthi, Susheel Begana, Brijmohan, Ravi Shrma, Satish Vimal, Sh Ashok Gupta, Virinder Kaul, Chuni Lal Sharma. |
