Youth held for 'killing' aged mother 7/10/2015 11:54:44 PM Early Times Report Jammu, July 10: Barely a week's time when a Youth in a fit of rage allegedly killed his stepmother during a scuffle here on Saturday (July 4) in Lalan-Ganoor area of Anantnag district of Kashmir, a youth was arrested for allegedly killing his aged mother by raining fists and blows during family tiff in Narwal Paien of city outskirts. "The deceased has been identified as Rani (65) wife of Lateef resident of Narwal Paien," police sources said. Sources said that the elderly lady along with her son (accused) identified as Altaf Khan had their dinner but they got indulged in some arguments over a minor issue which took ugly turn and from heated argument the duo got engaged in thrashing. "The accused in a fit of rage rained hard blows on his mother resulting her serious injuries," sources said adding, "in the meantime hearing the unusual noises neighbours immediately informed the police." After getting information police immediately rushed to the spot and shifted the injured old lady where she was declared brought dead and police later shifted body of deceased to the mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu for post-mortem.
