HC refuses to grant stay on ‘Ex CEO's pre-mature retirement’

Jammu, July 10: In a petition filed by Tarsem Lal I/C Principal DIET Poonch and Ex-CEO Jammu who was allegedly involved in much controversial class-IV appointments in Education Dept and who was compulsorily retired by the State seeking quashment of his pre mature retirement, J&K High Court Jammu today admitted the petition for hearing but refused to stay the order of compulsorily retirement. Justice Tashi Rabstan of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Sr Adv BS Salathia appearing for the petitioner admitted the petition at the same time court refused to stay the order of compulsorily retirement. The petitioner in his petition has sought quashing of forcible retirement by Govt. order No. 874-GAD of 2015 dated 30th June, 2015 passed by Respondent No.1 whereby the Petitioner has been ordered to be compulsorily retired from service w.e.f. Ist July, 2015. (JNF)
