Erring traders charged Rs 15300 as fine

BHADERWAH, July 10: A joint team of local administration, Consumer Affairs and Municipal Committee today conducted market checking in Bhaderwah and charged Rs 15300 fine from the traders for violation of provisions Market regulation rules.
The team comprising officers and officials of Police, CA&PD, Health and local administration checked Mutton shops, chicken shops, Fruit and vegetable shops .
During the checking, the team destroyed 50 kg substandard mutton.
Similarly, the team also destroyed rotten fruits and vegetables and warned traders against selling unhygienic and sub-standard stuff. The team also charged Rs 15300 fine including Rs 14300 by Municipal Committee and 1000 by CAPD, from the erring traders.
Being very old in nature, it is a great achievement by the Forest department to remove the encroachment and take back the forest land. Divisional Forest Officer Jammu has appreciated the staff involved in the operation.
He added that the department is taking all measures to prevent the encroachment on forest land at every cost.
