Early Times Report JAMMU, July 10: The Forest Department today got vacated 95 kanals of Forest land during an anti-encroachment drive in Pangari area of Akhnoor tehsil. The drive was carried by a team constituted by Divisional Forest Officer Jammu Dr. V.S. Senthil Kumar. The team led by Sham Lal, Range Officer Kalidhar visited 24/K compartment at village Pangari tehsil Akhnoor and removed the encroachment. The staff of forest department faced stiff resistance however it succeeded in retrieving 95 kanal of forests land from the possession of 18 encroachers. The team dismantled boundary walls and removed the brush wood fencing put up by the encroachers Kunj Lal son of Jalla Ram (16 Kanals), Banka Ram son of Sadhu Ram Pangari (3 kanal), Sansar Chand son of Devi Ditta (2 kanal), Bansi Lal son of Shiv Ram, (2 kanal), Dharm Chand son of Lathu Ram, (6 kanal), Jalla Ram Son of Puran Chand, (04 kanal), Ashok Kumar Son of Chucha, (03 kanal), Bishambar Dass Son of Kulla Ram, (02 kanal), Faiza Ram Son of Pinja Ram, (05 kanal), Goshan Ram Son of Sadhu Ram, (18 kanal), Thoru Ram Son of Ram Ditta, (2 kanal), Hans Raj Son of Pinja Ram, (2 kanal), Nand Lal Son of Bija Ram, (6 kanal), Nathu Ram Son of Sadhu Ram, (6 kanal),, Munshi Ram Son of Chucha Ram, (7 kanal), Puran Chand Son of Chucha Ram, (4 kanal), Hans Raj Son of Kala Ram, (2 kanal) and Giadu Ram Son of Shiv Ram, (5 kanal). The Divisional Forest Officer Jammu has directed the field staff to repair the fencing in the locality so that the encroachment attempts are prevented in future. |
