Jammu, Jul 10: A man has lodged a complaint against his wife for cheating by not telling him about her past marital life while Police following court directions to SHO Janipur have registered the complaint in this regard.
Quoting the complainant, Police sources said, "As per counsel of the complainant Surinder Gupta , one Raj Kumar son of Late Mohan Lal of Janipur Colony, Jammu sought directions from the court alleging that his wife namely Jyoti Dewi of Migrant Camp,Jagti of cheating him about her past marriage."
In the complaint, the complainant has alleged that Jyoti who was a divorcee approached him and proposed him. It was after few months of their marriage, a man claimed to be her legal husband arrived his residence and threatened to file criminal proceedings against him for committing the offices of kidnapping of Jyoti, police sources said.
"The complainant further has said that, after the incident, he asked her wife to produce the documentary evidence to prove that she has obtained legal divorce from her ex husband but she could not, they said.
Meanwhile following the court directions to take cognizance in this regard, has directed the SHO Janipur to lodge FIR u/s 420 RPC against the alleged accused after investigation u/s 156 (3) RPC. |
