Parivartan launches 'Go Green' campaign, conducts plantation drive

Jammu, July 10: A part of the Organization's cleans and green initiative, team members of Parivartan NGO launches 'Go Green' Campaign on Friday and in this regard a plantation drive was conducted in the Sunder Nagar area of Talab Tillo.
A large number of people from the area participated in the event where they dug up pits and planted saplings of flowering plants on a tract of land close to the Government School.
On the occasion BJP MLA from Jammu West Sat Sharma was the Chief Guest while BJP State Secretary Pawan Khajuria, BJP Office Secretary Rajinder Sharma and BJP District Vice President Sanjay Baru were the guest of honour.
During the event more than 100 plants of various varieties were planted by the guests' along with the members of the Parivartan NGO, which organized the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest, MLA Sat Sharma (C.A) strongly felt that it was necessary to save the environment from the increasing pollution, which is resulting in many ailments these days,especially to the minor children.
While providing the details about the Go Green Campaign launched by their NGO, Chairman Parivartan Vikas Sharma said, "A large number of resources are depleted each day and it's important for us to preserve our environment to assure economic and social benefit for a longer period of time. Planting trees is one of the many ways of giving back the society, what we have taken from it. I wish more NGOs will follow our footstep by launching more trees."
