2 women among 3 killed in Kathua accident | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, July 10: Two women among three persons were killed and as many were injured when a vehicle they were travelling in plunged into a deep gorge in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, police here said. "The accident occurred this afternoon when a car driven by one Ashok Padha skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Ranjit Sagar dam on Basohli-Kathua Road," a police officer said. He said that the car was on way from Basohli to Kathua district, adding, ''two women and a man were killed while three children were injured in the accident''. After receiving the news of tragic accident at village Manu, DC Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal alongwith tehsil administration rushed to the spot. The ill fated Car fell into deep gorge near village Mahnu few kilometrs from Ranjit Sagar Dam in which three persons died on spot and two others were injured. The injured were admitted to Mahanpur hospital. DC alongwith SDM Basohli, SDPO Basohli, Tehsildar Mahanpur visited the Trauma centre Mahanpur where two injured were admitted and enquired about their status of health. |
