Vigilance organization nabs SI for accepting Rs 10000 as graft | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 10: The sleuths of Vigilance Organization Jammu (VOJ) today laid a trap and arrested a Sub-Inspector posted in Bagh-e-Bahu while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 10000/-. Spokesman said that the trap was laid by DySP VK Bhat under the supervision of SSP Vigilance Dr Koshal Kumar Sharma and the accused was arrested while demanding and accepting Rs 10000 as gratification for releasing the retained documents of Maruti Van. "After getting complaint from Nek Ram of Jindrah stating two months back he (complainant) was arrested by Bagh-e-Bahu police station in a case and while he was under arrest, his maruti Van bearing registration number JK02AH-5152 was retained by the said police station for 5-6 days and later on it was handed over to a native boy of his village in lieu of some enticement against releasing the vehicle by said accused but the accused retained the documents of vehicle, he added. "A case under FIR no 27/2015 under section 5 (1) (d) r/w 5 (2) J&K PC Act 2006 BK and section 161 RPC has been registered at police station vigilance organization Jammu, Spokesperson added. |
