| Narco smuggler with 420gms of 'brown sugar' held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 22: Police today arrested a narcotics smuggler and recovered around 420 grams of brown sugar from his possession during a raid at rented accommodation of the accused in city outskirts. Police spokesperson said that accused has been identified namely as Shakeeb Ahmed of Khairi Udhampur presently at Thathar Majeen."On specific information, a police party led by SI Noor Mohammad, In-charge Police Post Sidhra under the supervision of SHO, Nagrota Daleep Singh, SDPO Nagrota Bharat Sharma and officiating SSP Jammu Pandey raided the rented accommodation of Shakeeb at Majeen and recovered 420 grams of brown sugar."
Police said that the arrested used to brought drugs from Punjab and later sell it in local areas of Siddhra, Ragoora, Khanpur, Nagrota etc. Meanwhile the concerned Police have registered a case under FIR No 148/15 u/s 8/21 NDPS Act against the accused at Police Station Nagrota.
Police said that questioning of the arrested is on to ascertain identity of his other accomplices.
