| NGO 'Jiyo aur Jeene do' organizes plantation drive | | | Jammu, July 25 : NGO ' Jiyo aur Jeene Do' today organized a plantation drive here at MH Chowk. According to press release, ADC Udhampur Angrez Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. He initiated the plantation drive by planting a sapling. The members of NGO Adv Bharat Bhushan, secretary of NGO Tanya Iqbal , Er Hina , Er Arfeen , Sukhdev Singh and others planted saplings at MH Chowk and contributed in the Go Green drive campaign being started by the NGO.
While speaking in the event the president of NGO Tariq Shah said, "Plantation is the need of hour for the sake of our environment. And trees are such a precious heritage of our culture that we need to preserve. We must realize that even Lord Rama had given a message of plantation by planting five banayan trees", he said.
Meanwhile, member of NGO planted saplings at the sides of National Highway and also cleaned the park at M H Chowk and also planted saplings. |
