YSAC appeals CEO, post teachers of community in refugee camps | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 25: JK Youth Sharnarthi Action Committee today appealed the School Education authorities to post teachers belonging to PoK refugee community in the refugee camps schools to improve the standard of education and discipline. He also appreciated the efforts of Chief Education Officer, Jammu JK Soodan in improving education standard in Jammu district. In his press statement, RC Sharma, president, JKYSAC urged the School Education department to devise a policy to depute PoK refugee teachers in camp schools, so that the students are in position to overcome the language and improve cultural activities. He said, "During my visit in several camps the refugees made complains about the language problem which is a hurdle to promote studies by refugee students." He said that several students have left their studies due to language problem, who remained unable to understand the language of other teachers. The main aim of the department is to improve the education standard by providing best facilities and this is one of the needed facilities to improve the education standard of refugee students. Appreciating the CEO, Jammu JK Soodan, Sharma said that as he (Soodan) has taken the charge of Jammu district the improvement in education standard has been seen in government schools. He urged the other Education officers to follow his suit so that standard of education should be improved to combat all evils. |
