SMVDU organizes orientation programme 8/5/2015 12:01:34 AM Early Times Report Katra, Aug 4: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) today organizes orientation programme for new entrants here at Matrika auditorium of varsity. Varsity, V C Prof. S K Jain welcomed freshers and highlighted the significance of studying in a residential University which provides sea of opportunities to students. Citing examples from the level of excellence and competence in IIT's, Prof. Jain advised students to be focused& open to learning. The Registrar, Ajay Khajuria dwelt over the serene and divine ambience of the campus which is an ideal setting for learning. He advised students to withdraw from any kind of distraction. The Registrar said that SMVDU has best infrastructural facilities and faculty which compliments efforts of administration to deliver the best. Dean Prof. V Verma, Faculty of Engineering highlighted the significance of Engineering disciplines and their relevance in the contemporary times. Prof. D Mukhopadhyay, Dean, Faculty of Management spoke about the importance of dedication and devotion in student's life. Prof. V.K Bhat, Dean, Faculty of Sciences highlighted the importance of discipline in student life which bears tremendous results for future growth.
