Abducted minor girl rescued, accused held | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri Sept 4: Rajouri police claimed to have rescued an abducted minor girl from the clutches of the kidnapper after 15 days from a remote village under the jurisdiction of Kotranka Police Station on Thursday with the arrest of her abductor. According to police spokesperson, " One Shah Mohd from village Gundha approached the police at Khawas Police Post on August 18 and lodged complaint alleging therein that his 14 years old sister Tazeem Begam was allegedly kidnapped by one Parviaz Ahmed s/o Shah Mohd of village Hubi (Kandi) situated at a distance of about 40 kilometers from Gundha." "Accordingly police have registered a case against the accused under sections 342/363 RPC (FIR63/15) at Budhal Police Station, police spokesperson said. Police said that a police team under the supervision of inspector Kuldeep Raj, started investigation and conducted raids at various places and rounded up several suspects. "During the course of investigation, police from its reliable sources received an input about the kidnapper on Thursdayand a police party was rushed immediately to village Kandi under the jurisdiction of Kotranka Police Station, Budhal. "Police arrested the kidnapper who was waiting for a bus at Sorha Pani (Kandi) and also recovered the girl from his possession, police said and added that the girl after legal formalities and medical checkup was handed over the family members while the accused was booked under appropriate sections of law. Locals have appreciated the efforts of the police that resulted in the recovery of the kidnapped minor girl and arrest of the accused. |
