| Casual labourers of PHE Department stage protest | | | Early Times Report
vijaypur, Sept 4: The causal labourers engaged in P.H.E. Department in the lieu who have provided land for the construction of Tube Well/reservoir/ OHT etc. have launched agitation against the Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir due to non-providing wages to them for the last 30 months.
The causal labourers today assembled at Rahya Morh and demanded for releasing their due wages. The Casual Labourers further threaten the department if their demands shall not be addressed then they would launched Dharna and lock up the Tube Wells. The causal labourers said the Govt. has assured that they would providing the job to one of the family members who will provide the land for the construction of Tube Well/reservoir/OHT etc. but the leaders who have made the commitment have forgotten everything and enjoying the luxurious life.
They told that the casual labourers who engaged at the same pattern in Kashmir region, their wages have been released and also they have been regularized. The accused that the Government of J&K is behaving as step mother with them which is not justifiable. |
