Shan elected second time as President Transport Union 9/22/2015 11:42:35 PM Early Times Report Kishtwar Sept 22: Transport Union for Kishtwar District held a meeting in which the members elected new body with Bansi Lal Shan as president of the union for 2nd consecutive term through secret ballot process As per the details available with "Early Times", the elections were held at Bus Stand Kishtwar under the supervision of Magistrate First Class, Police and representatives of other department and organization. A total of four candidates participated in the election procedure in which 122 votes were polled under secret ballot system and out of the 122 votes polled, Bansi Lal Shan got 112 votes while Wali Mohaamad Giri mange to get only 9 votes and one vote was rejected. Mushtaq Ahmed alias Sonu and Satish Kumar were the other two candidates in fray. In his thanks giving address newly elected president Bansi Lal Shan assured the transporters and drivers that he will make best efforts in solving their genuine problems.
