Selection procedure of AR cancelled as ward of top official falls short of qualifying points | Nepotism JU Style! | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 22: In an apparent case of nepotism, Jammu University canceled the selection process for the post of Assistant Registrar after ward of a top official of Jammu University, who was also an aspirant failed to garner minimum qualifying points needed to appear in interview, which was earlier postponed not once but thrice. Sources said that sibling of a top official of Jammu University applied for the post of Assistant Registrar in Kathua Campus while posts of Assistant Registrar for Bhaderwah campus and main Campus were also advertised in the year 2011. "Following failure of ward of a senior officer of the University to obtain qualifying marks in written examination for the post of Assistant Registrar for Kathua Campus, entire process was cancelled just to provide another chance to the blue eyed", said highly placed sources in Jammu University administration. As per reports, the posts of Assistant Registrar were advertised Vide notification no. Adm./C&R/11/1677-1776 dated 29-08-2011. The call letters for written for the said posts were dispatched through no. Adm. /C&R/13/1156-1555 dated 03-12-2013 and scheduled for 22-12-2013 which was postponed and then held on 05-01-2014. The first interview call letter was sent through no. Adm. /C&R/14/1379-1400 dated 05-07-2014 and was scheduled for 17-07-2014 which was then postponed. The 2nd interview call letter was sent through letter no. Adm. /C&R/14/1693-1713 dated 26-08-2014 and was scheduled for 11-09-2014 which was again postponed. The 3rd interview call letter was sent through no. Adm. /C&R/15/61-81 dated 20-07-2015 scheduled to be held on 08-08-2015 which was again postponed and now selection procedure has been cancelled. |
