| MVD organizes free medical camp | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Sept 22: Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) in Collaboration with Health Department organized a free medical camp cum road safety awareness programme for drivers and conductors at New Bus Stand here today.
According to press release, the camp was inaugurated by Additional District Magistrate Samba Pawan Sharma along with ARTO Samba Kuldeep Singh and Motor Vehicle Inspector Madan Lal in the presence of prominent citizens, representatives of Bus and Mini-Bus unions holders.
More than 100 drivers and conductors participated in the medical camp and were also provided with free medicines. They were advised to get their vehicles checked time and again and follow traffic rules for their own safety.
Thereafter, a team of doctors along with paramedical staff conducted the medical checkup of drivers and conductors such as blood pressure, eye test, etc.
While addressing the participants, Pawan Sharma said that there is a need to strictly follow the traffic rules and regulations and adopt safety measures to reduce the accidents to save precious lives. |
