Navratra Festival attracts huge audience | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 16: The Navratra Festival at Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple Gandhinagar entered third day with melodious Mata ke Bhentein and Bhajans which is attracting a lot of audience Being hosted by Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple Management Trust, Gandhinagar for the first time, the third Navratra celebration was marked by Bhajan & Bhaint competition in which 15 artists of different age groups from tiny tot to middle aged house wife actively participated with full zeal and zest. Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Simaranjeet Singh was the Chief Guest whereas Director Radio Kashmir Jammu, V K Samyal was the special invitee on the occasion of devotional songs competition. Both were honored by the Trust's President, Gulchain Singh Charak by presenting special Mata di Chunia. The sparkling "Shiva Tandava" dance was the grand finale of the 2-hour long special religious attraction which kept the audience spell bound. Speaking on the occasion DC Jammu lauded the initiative of the Trust to organize Navratra Festival and hoped that with the passage of time it would acquire the status of important Festival of Jammu and would come at par with Katra Festival. He also appreciated the talent of the artists who performed in the show. |
