Staff at CEO-Udh protest against alleged misbehavior by suspended Principal | | | Early time report
Udhampur Oct 16: The clerical staff of Chief Education Office (CEO) Udhampur today staged a token strike for against the alleged misbehavior against the staff by a suspended principal Pawan Slathia. Meantime All Jammu and Kashmir School Education Non- Teaching Employees Forum under the Presidentship of Bashir Malik held a token strike for two hours in their respective offices. According to sources, the principal namely Pawan Slathia was suspended some time ago but he used to come in the CEO office in routine and unnecessarily uses to abuse the staff and other members working in aforesaid office. Protestors alleged that going beyond the limits he had an argument with some members from clerical staff some three days ago and even had manhandled a staff member. The protesting employees have demanded strict action against Pawan Slathia and also demanded the accused should be prohibited from entering into office of CEO Udhampur. They said that FIR has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and police has warned Slathia to be away from the office premises. Meantime CEO briefly said that our staff has complains in this regard that they are being harassed by a member of education employee but episode has sent wrong signals within society about the members of education sector. He said an FIR has been lodged in this regard and hoped the strict action against the guilty by the police. Meanwhile there are reports that agitated over manhandling of Kuldeep Kumar, Section Officer (SO) in the Office of Chief Education Officer Udhampur, All Jammu and Kashmir School Education Non- Teaching Employees Forum under the Presidentship of Bashir Malik held a token strike for two hours in their respective offices. Main protest was held in the premises of Directorate of School Education Jammu as well as in all the other district headquarters i.e. Jammu, Udhampur, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, Poonch, Ramban Doda , Kishtwar and Reasi demanding immediate arrest of Pawan Singh Salathia Principal already suspended in misappropriation of School funds. Protesting employees also submitted a memorandum in this regard to Director School Education Jammu seeking disciplinary action against the already suspended Principal. The Director has assured the legal action to be initiated against the culprit. |
