Jammu, Oct 16: Jammu Municipal Corporation launched cleanliness drive in Poonch House, Talab Tillo, Bohri area ward No. 40 as a part of programme on sustained basis as desired by Prime Minister of India, so that "Swachh Bharat is a reality". The cleanliness campaign was led by RS Jamwal, Joint Commissioner(Adm), Municipal Corporation, Jammu, along-with Dr. Saleem Khan, Health Officer, JMC and other prominent persons of the area namely Baldev Raj, President Market Association, Raj Kumar, Rakesh Gupta, Sanjay Baru, Shiv Charan Sharma. On this occasion, a large numbers of locals were involved in this awareness cum cleanliness drive to make it a mass movement and the area has been cleaned thoroughly.
Further, another team led by Dr. Zaffar Iqbal, MVO undertook the aforesaid drive in Roop Nagar, Ward No. 62 and Sidhra, ward No. 71, where with the active participation of senior citizens and general public of the area the mass campaign programme was held and cleanliness drive was undertaken to clean the said areas. JMC appealed to one and all to come forward and be a pride participant in this awareness cum cleanliness drive to make the environment and the areas clean so that "Swachh Bharat is a reality". |
