Panchayat elections to be held in April next: CM 10/16/2015 11:46:28 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Oct 16: Vowing to empower Panchayat setup in the state on the pattern Panchayat Raj Institute (PRI) in India, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed today said Panchayat elections would be held in April. Asking people to strength the PRI in the state, Sayeed further said that efforts are on to hold elections to Municipal corporations and local bodies and empower Srinagar and Jammu Municipal Corporations on the pattern of Delhi Municipal Corporation (DMC). "The election to Panchayat are being held in April (next year). We all should work to strengthen Panacyat set.
