| Local miffed over non functioning of BSNL mobile services | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, Oct 16: The consumers are facing severe difficulties as state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) went defunct due to poor connectivity in Mendhar Tehsil of Poonch district from last three days,
The consumers told early times that from past three days the BSNL services that include landline and mobile phone services and internet is not functioning.
"Since windstorm and thunderstorm hit the area three days ago, the BSNL services have further deteriorated and even gone out of order. The landlines and mobile phones are not working while the internet services also got affected," said a BSNL consumer, adding that ironically all the BSNL exchanges are also not working but officials are unmoved ".
Due to break down of BSNL services, the bank ATMs are also not working in the area leaving consumers in distress, another local lamented and said that BSNL exchanges at Harni, Dhargaloon, Mankote, Dabraj and Mendhar Town are out of order effecting normal life of locals.
Majority of consumers said that the student and business community are facing lot of difficulties in absence of mobile and internet services. |
